My first collection—part of what I've lovingly called the Minangkabau Monochrome Collection—are more than just art; they're a narrative written in acrylic and charcoal, where each stroke and layer I build up only to sometimes tear back down, is a testament to the beauty of imperfection and the stories it can tell.
In my work, I strive to leave space for mystery and personal connection. By choosing not to define the facial features of the figures I depict, I invite you, the viewer, into a realm of ambiguity. It's a space where the stories of these enigmatic characters are yours to write, their emotions and histories yours to imagine.
